SHELF LIFE:

• Cakes are sold frozen but once defrosted will remain moist and delicious for up to 28 days
• Can be re-frozen for 6 months or until the frozen best before date printed on the product label, whichever date comes first
• It is best to protect the cake by wrapping it in several layers of cling wrap and aluminium foil before re-freezing

DEFROSTING:

• Leave on the bench in original wrapping
• Cake should thaw within 1-4 hours depending on size
• If you are in a hurry, remove plastic wrap and microwave in 1 minute bursts
• Once thawed, place into an airtight container away from strong odours
• No need to refrigerate until decorated
• Cakes perform at their very best when they can sit at room temperature for 1-2 days before use, especially if torting (slicing into thin layers)
