We're currently recruiting for both full-time and part-time positions.
Our full-time opportunities are ideal for career-minded individuals looking to join a fast-paced, growing business with genuine long-term development opportunities.
Our Part Time positions offer approximately 12–25 hours per week and our Full Time position is perfect for a career minded individual are perfect for energetic team members who enjoy working in a fun, busy and dynamic retail environment.
From helping customers find the perfect party supplies, to picking and packing online orders, receiving large volumes of stock, creating balloon decorations and keeping our warehouse running smoothly, there's always something happening at Shindigs!
We offer employment opportunities for school leavers, university students and experienced workers who are looking for a workplace where they can learn, develop and be part of a great team.
What our team needs!
We're looking for people who are:
- Friendly, confident and passionate about providing excellent customer service
- Reliable, energetic and willing to get stuck in
- Organised and able to work effectively in a busy environment
- Creative, enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Able to follow direction while contributing positively to a team environment
- Well presented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Confident with mental arithmetic and accurately calculating percentages, discounts and pricing
- Able to commit to a permanent part-time or full-time position
- Available to work regular weekend shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays
- Please do not apply if you are unable to work regular weekend shifts.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days at Shindigs are quite the same!
Your role may include:
- Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a positive shopping experience
- Helping customers find the perfect products for their celebrations
- Picking and packing online orders
- Receiving, checking and managing large volumes of stock
- Merchandising, creating product displays and restocking the store
- Designing balloon creations and assisting with balloon preparation for customers and events
- Working across our retail, warehouse and online operations
- Contributing to a busy, team-focused and exciting workplace where there's always something happening!
Experience in retail, customer service or warehousing is helpful, but it's not everything. We value the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn just as much as experience.
A Few Important Things
To be considered for these positions, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Be available to work regular weekend shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays
- Be able to commit to a permanent part-time or full-time position
