Anubis is the ancient Egyptian god of the dead, cemeteries and embalming, recognisable by his distinctive jackal or dog head on a human body. He served as the guide for souls into the afterlife and is acknowledged as the inventor of mummification. The jackal imagery came from these canines lurking in cemeteries, with Anubis acting as their protector and guardian against the desecration of tombs.

This mask is moulded in the image of the jackal-like Anubis and makes an imposing accessory for your Halloween or Ancient Egyptian themes costume!

It is designed to cover the eyes and nose and is made from black rigid plastic in the shape of a jackal head with metallic gold accents on the ears, brows, eyes and snout.

It has an elastic band around the back of the head to keep it in place.
